It is 6 years tonight (UK time) that Jonathan stepped out onto the stage of Britain’s Got Talent, life changed not just for Jonathan but for his fantoines too. How has Jonathan impacted on your life?
Has it really been 6 years already? That is so hard to believe that it has been that long. I live in the United States, but I watch Britain's Got Talent on YouTube every year. The night Jonathan and Charlotte sang, I thought Jonathan was an absolutely amazing singer. Not only that, I was so impressed with how he would not continue in the competition by himself no matter what Simon said. What a a genuinely nice person! And they both sang beautifully together. I especially loved the second song they sang. I watched them sing all their songs on the show, and I truly thought they should have won. But, Jonathan actually did win. I mean, what a huge career he has now!! Since the end of the show, I've listened to his new songs as well as his BGT songs and wish he would come to Houston, Texas USA. How awesome to be able to see him in person. I've bought his CD's and waited patiently for the CD's to arrive in Houston! I am extremely happy that Jonathan continues to be so successful in his music career. I think he will just keep getting better and better as the years go on. I am so thankful to have found him on YouTube as I watched BGT Jonathan, may God grant you a long and successful career. It already is successful!!!!........One thing that I did do since watching Jonathan and Charlotte on BGT is this -- I belong to an online group that writes stories and poetry, and I wrote a poem about him and Charlotte on BGT. Here is the poem.
I’ve Heard Them Sing(based on a true story)
By Jan Dixon
They walked on the stage, a teen boy and girl,The large humble boy and the girl fair of face. The audience looked, all assuming the worst; They were shaking their heads all over the place.
“Why are you here?” the judge asked, as he stared. The girl said, “We want to share with you our song.We hope you’ll find pleasure in what we’ve prepared. We’re sure you will see that our voices are strong!”
The girl knew their voices together were good. The boy was much shyer, not quite so assured. For due to his size he’d been oft mocked and teased,A piece of him snatched by each cruelty endured.
The crowd squirmed and stared as the music began. The girl looked up into the boy’s anxious eyes,Then out from their lips came such glorious tones; The stunned crowd was quite overcome with surprise!
They were shaking their heads all over the place,But not for the same reasons they had before. The crowd showed approval with hearty applauseAs music, like eagles, continued to soar!
They came to the ending, the last note superb!“Wow! Wow!” The judge stood up and loudly exclaimed,“Unbelievable and outstandingly good!” A future star you’ll be with worldwide acclaim!
The boy and girl hugged, they could not hide their bliss. The response they received, they scarce could take in.A look of assurance, now on the boy’s face,And a mind-set of confidence soon would begin.
Their star is now growing, no words can describeThe joy and serenity their voices bring. The pleasure, the power that stirs in one’s heart,I know this is true, you see, I’ve heard them sing!
