Jonathan Antoine has just released two new singles, Lilac Wine and No Surprises, offering another glimpse into his upcoming album Speaking To You, out March 27th.
The songs are personally meaningful, drawn from favourites he has wanted to record for some time. Jonathan hopes these songs will mean as much to you as they have to him. The full album is almost here! Have you reserved your copy yet? It would mean the world to us (and to him) if you did.
A Message from Jonathan Antoine
"I've loved these songs for such a long time! I studied Jeff Buckley in high school for GCSE music, whose version of Lilac Wine I am referencing in my own interpretation, and that served as an introduction to a much broader sonic palette. Radiohead's album, Ok Computer, followed soon after. I remember being in Florence in the first year of my career, listening to that album as we trundled through the streets, much to the excitement of my manager at the time! Needless to say, these songs have been carried with me for a good while. To be able to put my little stamp beside those pieces that have accompanied me is both the closing and opening of a chapter, I suppose. And as you all know, I love sharing stories with you."
